Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Melaque, Mexico, with a five-day watercolor journal class that combines travel, art, and storytelling. Each day, you’ll be escorted through the charming town of Melaque and its surrounding villages, experiencing the local culture, colorful markets, stunning beaches, and traditional architecture. With a sketchbook in hand, you’ll learn to capture these moments through watercolor journaling, creative lettering while creating a personalized travel journal that captures memories photos do not.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, the daily sessions will guide you in developing your watercolor techniques, blending vibrant hues with your impressions of the surroundings.
As you explore, you’ll be encouraged to document your observations, emotions, and interactions, transforming them into beautiful and meaningful journal entries. The classes are designed to be both instructional and inspiring, offering a perfect balance of guided practice and creative freedom.
This watercolor journal class is not just about learning a new skill; it’s about creating lasting memories and a keepsake that you can cherish for years to come.
Please note that participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations, and meals, allowing you to choose a stay that best suits your preferences. We will be more than happy to offer suggestion to help you choose places.
You can join me in various ‘dinner’ options each evening or explore on your own. I have been coming here for over 10 seasons and have found it to be a safe environment, and easy to navigate on foot, taxi or ‘chicken bus’!
We will ‘gather’ on the evening of the 26th … in the ‘town square’ to plot our week and get to know each other. The cost for the week is $600Cdn. 
If you do not have your own supplies already …please … consider purchasing a ‘kit” from me … then you will have the ‘right stuff!” … there are kits for sale on this site. Order early because I will be ‘heading south’ early November.  A full list of supplies and information will be available with registration … and … we will have a ‘zoom’ meeting in October to meet other participants and … clarify any questions.
