Recommended for those who have completed Level 1 or have equivalent experience.
This Level 2 watercolour class is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of water, paper, and paint, and are ready to move beyond control into expression and intentional technique. If you’re comfortable holding a brush, understand basic wetness levels, and want to make your paintings feel more alive and confident, this class is your next step.
We will focus on techniques that happen on the page, rather than on the palette. You’ll learn how to mix colours directly on your paper, allowing pigments to interact naturally and create depth, movement, and subtle variation. This approach gives watercolour its distinctive glow and avoids flat or overworked results.
